So I searched and couldnt find anything but dead ends, is there any alternatives to buying a replacement filter from King?

The old filters were AFE units, the new ones are K&N, but it sounds like neither mfg will sell the filters direct.

Anyone got some light to shed on this one? Dont really want to pay 180 for a new filter from King... geeez.

Wow that didnt take long, actually found that guy on ek9.org... hoping there is somethign located in NA... but its still a lot cheaper than buying from King.

But like I said, he's a sponsor here and sells to North American members all the time. I've purchased from him and cost/shipping time wasn't any more than most other things I buy online.

 

If you want a guaranteed replacement that is guaranteed to fit and will not hinder performance then it is your best bet.

The Tegiwa is a cheap knockoff piece and I would suspect that filter usd to be about the same.
