Default b20 golden eagle sleeves in a b18c block???

i bought a golden eagle sleeved b20 block from a guy on craigslist that was supposed to be perfectly fine. when i finally got the block it had several spots where u could tell someone had welded on it like it was cracked. the sleeves are still good though. i have a semi-built turbo gsr in my car now and i would like to have it fully built. would it be possible to put the sleeves that are in the b20 block in my gsr block and just get a new set of pistons? thanks for the help.

I believe they are different deck heights.
I believe you can remove the sleeves from a motor sleeved in this fashion so that it can be resleeved, but installing them again wouldn't work unless you bore out further. Here is why. When they install the sleeves, they are slightly undersized. After they press them in, the motor is align bored, decked to make the sleeves sit at the correct height in relation to the rest of the deck. The sleeves are bored perpendicular to the axis the crankshaft sits. All of this is done so that if anything wasn't machined perfectly before installation, it makes it right.

I say just get your money back and get the correct sleeves for the B18C

cant get anything back. im in the military in NC and the block was shipped to my house in LA, and my dad didnt open the box until a few months afterwards, so basically im stuck with something i cant use and already lost money from the situation.
