Alignment and Camber question
How much camber does The Alignment affect in a second gen CRX?
I ran the drivers side rear tire over an elevated man hole the other day. It was big enough to throw the side of the car about a half foot off the ground. It came down hard, and screwed up the alignment.
When I got home I looked at the wheel...."WTF?".....The wheel has got to be at like -6 degrees of camber right now.
Did I bend anything? Or can a lot of this be caused by the alignment?
I have the rear Ingalls camber kit which does not appear to be bent in any way. Can anything else bend and cause this?
I can get a pic of the camber if anyone wants too see it.
i am now praying that the impact didn't **** up the chassis in any way.

take some pics, of underneith. I just went to get an alighnment yesterday, They charged me $50 to fix my toe in/out and said they couldnt adjust camber because my car is to low
Looks like i got to get some kind of camber kit, because mine still pulls to the left. And i guess -3 degrees all around is not that great for tires

First is that -3 degrees is really way too negative for the street and under most track conditions as well. Next, Ingalls and Specialty Products have kits to take care of this-but you need the alignment printout before buying them. The Ingalls adjustable r3ar control arm is very beefy-so I would not think that to be the problem.
Now to the hard hit-I will guess until seeing pictures that you have bent a component or maybe broken a spring perch on a shock. A reading of -6 degrees can only come from something that failed, unless you are dropped/slammed totally. Toe-In is the biggie on alignment machines and it must be set correctly or tire wear will be ridiculous along with gas mileage.
