So my buddy chad just boosted his b20 teg. He has a golden eagle vacuum block. He ran separate vacuums to every things is that ok? also is the waste gate always supposed to dump exhaust out of it?

Ok I think he has a bad waste gate because even at idle its dumping exhaust.

 

The wastegate is supposed to let excess pressure out of the system to ensure that you maintain steady, reliable boost. If you're running at 15psi, the gate should open at +15. If it's opening sooner, you're not hitting 15psi. If it's constantly open, you're not building boost at all.

 

Yeah it stays open all the time. But it will build 10psi it just takes till 5 grand on a b20 with a t3/t4 57 trim
