Just got an Aiwa head unit on sale for $120, which was too cheap for free install. I got a Honda wiring harness, and just had to splice the wires from the head's input wiring to the car's. Everything matched fine except for the orange wire, which is a dimmer for the LCD.
Problem.
There's another bundle of wires taped to the car's bundle, and they don't have a corresponding socket on either the new wiring harness or on the head unit.
It doesn't work. No power. The adapter on the mystery bundle (about four pairs of wires and two singles) is box shaped and has 8 butt-style plugs.
Any ideas? Help??? Wiring diagrams?
Very frustrated...

update - we found a bad fuse. still no juice. we finally just rigged a jumper wire directly into the radio circuit in the fuse box. it sparked, so we grounded the head unit and wired it up. Nothing.
Bad head unit? I may just have to drive back to Little Rock tomorrow...
