Need help with 00 Si brake swap into 94 Si hatch
I recently picked up some '00 Si brake calipers and rotors from a junk yard and in VERY nice condition it seams i need something else to make them fit on my EG chasis some one said i might need the rear LCA's?
so if any one has done this swap please chime in as i desperately need it to work as i broke my eg calipers today.
thanks in advance.

very useful information. try looking through this. the swap x brakes onto 96-00 civic thread will have good stuff for you, despite having an EG

sorry i was unclear i have rear integra disks i just got some front si's and am wondering how to get them to fit? would i need most of the front si suspension? i'm willing to get it to make it work.
sorry for forgetting info.
(front) brakes off a '00 Si
'94 Si hatch Chasis
it appears my main fitment issue is the lug and barring assembly i'll post picture up tomorrow,.

LOl third post but ok.
so i'm hoping some one has done this and will chime in, but in the mean time i found this in the "x brakes to ek" thread.
and to upgrade and ek to ex/si brakes you need to.. "Take the complete knuckle (with bearing, hub, calipers, caliper hangars, rotors, and pads and swap them onto the Civic DX." so i'm going to try that, soundlike i need.
- the full knucle assembly
- hub
- caliper hangers
i have the rest. and i read i could still possible have like a 1 -3 mm clearnace issue so i'll keep every one posted cuz i found "ZERO" how to's for this. so maybe i'll document this and make a DIY
edit: thanks hueman and 98civdx for the help, that thread had lots of good information, hopefully this is everything i need . brakeexpert said this shouln't require any fab or machining, but we'll see.

OK then why in the world are you asking about the rear lcas if your question is in regards to the front discs???
no you don't need the front suspension, just the front knuckles from a 96-00 EX or 99-00 Si. bolts right up.
the full knuckle assemblies include the hub and caliper hangers. they're pretty much everything. good luck, it sounds like an interesting project.
wait, i just thought of something--are you sure the fronts are different from your Si and the 99 Si? some of the EG EX coupes had the same brakes as the 99-00 si i thought.... maybe the same with the Si hatch? EDIT: nope, looks like you got the crappy 9.5"s. just grab some front knuckles and leave those calipers in case you need to replace anything ever.

yeah calm down thats just some **** i read from another thread where some one asked the same question, maybe it was a rear swap page idk.
yeah i found this at a yard so i'm going back to get the knuckles and hub assembly's. and i have the Si HB and every thing is definitely smaller than the 99-00 si. and i think i'll be upgrading either to the same 99-00 Si MC and BB but i read the 1991 civic ex is also big.
yeah that "x brake into 96-00 civic" was a very good read with lots of good information.

It actually isn't hard to do at all, ill be doing the same. Its just a simple un bolt, bolt on, bleed brakes drive away.
Can be time consuming though, also, check the ball joints before you install the knuckle, if they look bad replace them now.
Now would be a good time to replace the brake fuild if it doesn't look good.
Im am not positive, but I don't think you use the si mc without bending the lines.

yeah i heard some slight adjusting could be needed. and yeah my brake fluid is so bad i think it's absorbed alot of moisture and it is a VERY dark color. i found lots of things that were missing or is bad disrepair lately. i gutted the bay and am painting the whole car so i have plenty of time to sort this out.
thanks for the reminder this project/build has meant replacing lots so far so i'll be sure to inspect those.
also will the 99-00 civic si brake booster bolt right up?

oh ok well i'm taking it off to paint the bay i'm just thinking since i'm upgrading the front disks to the Si's and i finished the rear integra swap a while ago. so i'm thinking of adding the 1991 civic ex brake booster i think it's 15/16" instead of 13"/16 and is direct bolt up and i've read there is a noticable difference in the breaking,
if i'm correct the larger the brake MC the less travel of the peddle stroke but there is a lesser pressure so thats the only reason i would think of upgrading BB but i think these mods are so mild in comparison to much bigger set ups i'm thinking it's not necessary to upgrade the BB

yeah i just read that today i had just finished redoing the (rear) rotors and the pads and i thought none of that was from the civic. i think it still had factory original rotor still, they were F***** up some serious scaring. yeah i recently had know idea as to the differences between the eg's and eh2's they had a few other goodies i read about too.
