i check all fuses, unplugged the ignition switch harness(both) from under steering column. i unplugged all 3 shock tower plugs. funny thing is, when all 3 are unplugged, the gauge cluster(brake and check engine) lights are still on. when i plug in the 2nd largest, the fuel pump primes. what else should i check?

i had the relays connected to the ignition swtich. basically one switch to turn car on and a push start. it has been on for about 2 years now. only when i was messing with the external coil, i noticed the problem. so i disconnected all wires from both switch and push button. it was done by an electricion, not me.

the reason being, is that A LOT of civics are stolen here in hawaii..and suprisingly, someone tried to still mine but couldnt figure how to start.

OIC a relay on the ign. lead and one on the starter lead, it sounds like the relay on the ign. lead is "seized" closed, supplyinf 12V+ constant to the cars ign. system, or part of it.
Remove the relay and reconnect the cut ign. lead, [if it was cut and not a parallel connection]. 94

ok. the ign relay is the one in the under hood fuse box right?

if so, i changed that with another relay and it worked. but now, my hazard button is acting as the acc/on buton for some reason.

You said...
"but i have my ignition swiched through a couple of relays" and...
"i had the relays connected to the ignition swtich. basically one switch to turn car on and a push start.

So where on the "ignition switch" did you put the two relays, or am I misunderstanding "a couple of relays"???

Also, MM&Y of car and is it an auto or manual transmission? 94
