Replacing trailing arm bushings
I need to replace the trailing arm bushings because it messing up my tires but I don't have the bushing extractor, is anyone here renting it? I'll return it back to u when I'm done with it.
I know I can do it without the extractor but I would have to take the whole trailing arm off the car and it seem like a big hassle, but I'll keep that method as a last resort. PM if u have the bushing extractor for rent.

Not to hard to do without any special tools

No man, I'm in cali but thanks for letting me know
Yeah I've seen this video before but do I have to remove the whole trailing arm off the car or is it possible to do it with it still attached to it? And if it has to be removed, how would I go about it in regards to the e-brake line, and just a heads up, my car is a 6th gen and I saw that urs is a 5th gen so I'm not sure if that might differ a lil bit

^ What he said.
As seen in my own little film i hade a strong friend to assist me and stop the motion of the trailing arm when hitting the bushing with a hammer.
Just be careful not to snap the bolts

Aight I'll try it out like that. What about which bushing would be better to use? OEM type or energysuspension one in which the metal center piece must be used? Help me out please cuz I wanna do this upgrade as soon as possible
energysuspension's bushing is like $50 less for "better performance"

DO NOT use polyurethane for trailing arm bushings. This is even more critical than the other suspension bushings. The RTA bushings MUST be able to flex to a certain extent to allow the proper suspension range of motion due to the design of the rear suspension geometry. Poly RTA bushings do not allow this range of motion and will bind up and cause handling issues.
Rubber and spherical RTA bushings are the only ones that allow the proper range of motion, but spherical is not suitable for street use (they will wear out very quickly if used for normal daily driving).

I had urethane energy suspension bushings in my CRX for 6 years with no problems and in wifes civic and in my civic for about 4 years have also installed many sets for others and nobody I know of has had a problem.
I would personally go with ES urethane ones,it is easy to do and you dont have to remove the whole trailing arm.The worst part is cutting out the old rubber bushing.
