Default Where is the "homemade sleeves" thread???

Hey like 3-4 months ago I saw thread were a dude sleeves his block at home with some substance. I goooooogled and honda-teched it and cant find it.
Help me out if you know.

Where exaclty did you see it? This forumn, or another part of HT?

This is the first im hearing of anything like this, and it sounds interesting.

I know what you are talking about and It is nothing like sleeving. The substance is called devcon and I would never do it. The idea is the reinforce the stock cylinder walls kinda like a block guard. I heard that one guy did it and drove it around a couple months and cracked a couple sleeves. Just google devcon filled blocks or search it on h-t and you will find lots of info.

Huh, it looks interesting, although i doubt i would ever try anything such as that.

I would just opt to sleeve the block.

yea but if you can sleeve a block for $50, then why not. yes...its not as good but its beeter than nothing

I dont know, if the persons post is true, he cracked seleves in a couple months, then it is pointless.

IF, you do it and crack your sleeves you have just wasted beer money on something that didnt work lol
