Default My first Type R motor. Input/ Suggestions welcome

I have recently traded my boost parts for a 96 spec ITR motor. My plans for it so far are as followed...

Clean the engine
Timing belt and pumps
Intake w/ velocity stack
Hytech rep header
Buddy club spec 2 exhaust
68mm tb
Stock p73 Ecu

This is all going in a gutted eh2. With the bolt ons listed above should I expect 170-180 wheel?

before you get flamed, don't waste your money on a 68mm TB, the oem 62mm is not a restriction for that engine

you also realize buddy club makes one of the most annoying exhausts out there right?

My ITR swap back in the day made 169whp with a generic intake and exhaust on the stock ecu, so your numbers should be pretty close...
Id leave the waterpump on there myself. Its already "broken in" and might net you a few ponies over a brand new one. This is assuming you dont mind going in there and replacing it when it goes bad.
Welcome to the "brightside"!

I appreciate you trying to help, but I don't plan on getting flamed over a tb. I already have one from my current setup and prefer a non restrctive exhaust. This will be more of a track car than anything

Depending on what car your putting it in, your stock fuel pump may not keep up. My 98 civic dx stock pump couldnt keep up and it took me forever to figure it out. (Just a heads up).

Was this on a stock B18C5/R?

I was thinking about swapping in a fuel pump om my old 98' DX (stock b18cr in a 92' hatch) simply because it has a lot less run-time than my current one. Not even sure what pump I have right now, but I assumed they were all around 190 lph. Is this incorrect? Sorry to jack the thread...

the spec2 is a fanboy ricer ehxhaust. its only 60mm and is annoying as hell. Its not more free flowing than a 2.5in system with a vibrant muffer that costs the same and will net you more power

Just wondering why basic math indicates that stock fuel pumps are more than sufficient for mild to wild all-motor set-ups yet people continue to insist on upgrading them. I smell a conspiracy...j/k

Fact: Liters to Cubic Centimeters: 1 L = 1000cc's

Example 79 lph pump = 79,000 cc's per hour

So, 79,000 cc's per hour divided by 60 minutes = 79,000/60 = 1316.66 cc's min

So, 1316.66 cc's min/4 injectors = 1316.66/4 = 329.16 cc's min

Which is plenty large enough to support a 310cc/min injector.

In turn that would indicate that an upgrade to the 135lph would be all that is needed in most cases for a healthy buffer of fuel volume.

Example: 135lph x 1000 = 135,000 cc's/hour

135,000/60(minutes in the hour) = 2250cc's/min

2250/4 injectors = 562.5 cc's/min (Would support 560cc 's per injector)

Basically for all intents and purposes I will only refer to the majority of modified Hondas/Acuras.

Fuel Pump Ratings are as follows:

1988-2000 Civic CX, DX, EX = 79 lph
1989-2001 Integra RS, GS, LS = 79 lph
1999-2000 Civic SI = 135 lph
1994-2001 Integra GSR = 135 lph
1997-2001 ITR = 135 lph

Yes. This was on my very first swap ever, about 10 years ago. It was a 98 spec JDM ITR swap in my 98 hatch. With an intake and exhaust, it dynoed at 169whp out in Tucson,AZ.
As time went on, I eventually put a 2 layer HG, Jun3 cams, and a chipped ECU. This was before I realized the importance of "tuning"...
So I went from low 14's stock on street tires, to a 13.9 with mods and slicks. I knew it should have been faster, but just couldnt figure out why...
Well one day at the track, I put a small hose clamp on the fuel return line to increase fuel pressure and WHOA!
It was like I gained 30whp! I suspected a fuel supply problem so I installed an inside fuel pressure guage. Sure enough before I hit redline, I could actually watch my fuel pressure DROP..
Now I have a stock GSR pump and I havent seen it drop since. Pressure stays at ~50psi all the way to redline. Different motor now though...

14 year old motor....first thing i would do is a compression and leak down test to see if the motor is even worth putting effort into.

wait you make a thread asking for suggestions and yet you get mad when a suggestion is made whats the point of the thread then if you have all the answers and you know what you want why are you asking for others opinions .

That wasn't a suggestion that he made. I asked for opinions on what whp I should make, not what parts you like or dislike.
