So Im having a problem and I really have no idea whats wrong...

Awhile ago I notice when Im driving on the freeway my rpm meter will jump around. It wouldnt do it all the time but enough to catch my eye but I couldnt feel anything different so I figured it was nothing. Its getting worse and Its starting to jerk when it happens, almost like something is back firing. If I pull off and restart my car it seems to help...

Does anyone have any ideas what it could be? Or maybe something I can try to fix it? Somebody told me it could be my fuel injectors...

Ive had my crx for 6 years and it has 210,000 miles on it... Ive never had any problems with it and keep it in good condition.

 

cleaning under the distributor cap and possibly replacing the ignitor is likely the solution.
