Help! Squeaky front left suspension?
Hey all,
It's been a while since I've been on these threads, due to work n school... Recently, while driving through damned downtown LA streets, something caused my front left suspension to become REALLY squeaky. It squeaks when I go at a green light, it squeaks when I brake and come to a stop, it squeaks when I turn right or left, and it squeaks when I open the door and stand on the edge and bounce purposely.... The squeak sounds like an old bed's springs squeaking, and can be quite irritating and absolutely EMBARRASSING.
Anyone know what it can be, and around how much to replace watever's wrong with it? I lifted the car with a jack, and nothing seems to be broken, albeit I'm a noob and don't really know what to look for. As far as I know, the car is lowered on "Eibach" springs (they're black), with something called "Tokiko" shocks (they're blue). I hope that suffices as my "setup."
Please help, as I don't want to roll into a dealership and shell out huge amounts of cash, which I don't have. Also, if there's any recommendations on where I can go (somewhere around Rosemead, CA please), I'd appreciate it. I'm on a super tight budget, and this is my only car and cannot buy a new one
Thanks for your help. I look forward to all responses and any advice.

Well for one thing those shocks are absolute junk to use with lowered suspension.
However I can tell you that I had LOUD squeaking from my front end when the original upper control arm bushings went to crap. I replaced them with some eBay OE-replacement UCA's and those bushings went to crap and started squeaking in about a year.
I replaced those with brand new OEM upper control arms and no more squeaking.
Have someone jounce the front suspension up and down while you try to see if the sound is coming from the upper control arms or down lower to the ground.

Easiest just to buy the complete upper control arms, and I would do both sides at the same time. It comes with all new bushings as well as the ball joints. Cost me about $95/side ($190 total) and I installed myself.
TRUST ME the price is worth it. I made the mistake of buying cheap@$$ OEM-replica UCA's at $80 total for both sides off eGay, and they suckkkkkked.

Thx again!
i cant say how much they would charge, but i could guess it would be somewhere around 150-200 if not more. You should check with performance shops before you pay honda, a lot of times they charge a lot less.
Google, majestic honda. They have pretty good prices on things like this.

I always buy parts from Carland Acura in GA, since they're 2 states over from me and regular shipping only takes 2 days. www.acuraautomotiveparts.org
