I've had a Vibrant catback on my car for well over a year now. Hadn't planned to get a header just yet, because with new prices I would've rather invested in some suspension. Anyhow, a deal popped up, friend no longer had his Si, but he had a full Skunk2 exhaust on it which he had taken off. He still had the header. Sold it to me for $300. No hardware, but no big deal, right?

Until I'm looking under the car to visualize the install and I realize the catback's first pipe has a 3 bolt flange, and the Skunk2 header's is just a 2 bolt. Now I've talked to the guys at Corsport and they got a hold of a Skunk2 rep that said the header includes an adapter for this situation. But the previous owner of the header has no idea about it, so I'm SOL there. Also Skunk2 doesn't have any spares to send to me. Seems something like this would be easy to find online, but I haven't had any luck there either.


Does anyone know where to find something like this? If anyone has one they can part with, PM me and we'll work something out.

I appreciate any help! This has really brought the plans to install it to a grinding halt.

 

I was in the same boat as you are now except you got a much better deal on your header (I paid 500 bucks) I took mine to a local place that specailizes in hondas and he changed me over double of his quote to install it but he got it in .

Good luck though but its gonna cost ya as some fabrication has to be done

 

you have 2 options.

1. wait for skunk2 to make some or sweet talk them into making one for you.

2. go to an exhaust shop and have them fab you a 2 bolt to 3 bolt adapter.

p.s. dont buy anything used with no hardware. im so glad i bought mine brand new.
also, if its the first version. you need to extend the wiring harness in the primary sensor and put it in the bung thats near the collector. and you're gonaa have to cut and weld a second bung into the exhaust to house the secondary o2 sensor, which also is gonna require an extension of the harness. unless you have the second version with the 2 bungs already fitted onto the header that doesnt require cutting into the exhaust.

 

Well not entirely true I have the first version(one bung) and you can remove the cel with flashpro, And even with the fabrication it still cost me less than a new skunk2 header .
