thats about all you can check. but if you are able to get a blower motor at a autoparts store such as advance or autozone, then I would hook it up and if still doesnt work, just return it. i would ask about their return policy first though, im not too certain of it.

check to see that there is power to the motor. if there is, problem is the motor

^^Yes. Run direct power as well to check.

There is more you can check.

1. Blower Motor Resistor. Does the motor turn on at number 3 and 4 but not on 1 and 2. Or does it not work on all of them.

2. If it turns on when switched to number 3 and 4, then it's your resistor. Easy fix.

3. If it doesn't turn on at all, it's simply your blower motor itself. $50 or so new from Napa, etc.

To remove blower motor, remove 3 bolts, pull down, unplug. Reinstall. Done.

i apologize, but i have to disagree. he must check to see that there is power to the motor first in order to condemn it

Ditto that.

Power for blower motor is "direct", switching is done by the ground.

Start by checking for power, [12V+] at the blower motor plug blue/white lead [ign. switch must be on] if you have power at the blower motor plug use a jumper lead to supply a ground to the other lead, [blue/black] in the blower motor plug, if blower still will not work, replace the motor.

If the blower works with the jumper ground the problem may be the blower resistor although speed 4 would normally work as it is direct from blower switch and does not go through the blower resistor, you will need to ground, [jumper to chassis ground] the blue/black at the blower switch, if that works either the ground to the switch, [black] is bad or the switch itself is bad, to test the ground at the switch, use a jumper to connect the black ground to the blue/black, if motor works, replace the switch. 94

fcm had given you explicit directions (as always) on testing the circuit.
you've eliminated the blower motor now (lol), it will either be the switch or ground, or wiring between the switch and motor

As I have said so many times, replacing parts to fix a problem is an expensive way to troubleshoot the problem, unless of coarse the part you replace first is the "broken" one, but, no matter what, it will always be the last part you install.

Saving grace is that eventually you will fix the problem, you will have all new parts and in most cases, working used parts.

94trouble start again, check for power at the blower plug first, then supply a ground with a jumper lead to the blower plug. 94
