AEM F/IC (Fuel Ignition Controller) Description
The updated version of the F/IC that we are selling also is compatible with both the MAF and MAP sensors on the new 2006+ Civics and also allows for MORE PRECISE voltage clamping.

The AEM Fuel Ignition Conroller, or F/IC, is the perfect new economical solution for tuning your Civic and extracting MAXIMUM power from your modifications! With the AEM F/IC and included software, you can accurately control the two most important things needed to tune your Civic: fuel maps and ignition timing. The F/IC will help you get maximum power whether your Civic is mostly stock or running a forced induction system, such as a turbocharger. The AEM F/IC is the best solution for customers who don't need all the features of a stand-alone engine management system, and just want to optimize their vehicle for more horsepower and reliability without spending a lot of money.

The F/IC system is an advanced piggy-back system, so it works in parallel with your factory ECU and will NOT cause a check engine light (CEL). It also prevents any tuning limitations due to complex factory timing patterns usually found on newer vehicles. The F/IC intercepts the signal to the stock injectors, allowing the user to modify pulse-width by +/-100%. The F/IC is the only piggy-back system that can decrease injector pulse-width, allowing the user to drive larger aftermarket injectors while still maintaining proper air/fuel ratios.

* Can also be used to recalibrate / clamp the MAF and MAP sensors, eliminating common problems with non-boosted factory sensors.
* The F/IC has the ability to retard timing by intercepting and delaying the outputs from the cam and crank position sensors to the engine with no adverse affect on applications equipped with variable cam timing (like VTEC or i-VTEC). The F/IC can retard timing from the factory system based on engine RPM and load inputs.

* 64kb on-board data logger.
* Three (3) channels of timing retard.
* On board 41PSIA (approx. 25PSI boost) manifold pressure sensor.
* F/IC draws power from PC USB interface for quick and easy calibration changes.
* Comes with easy to use Windows-based tuning software and instruction manual.

Harness Notes: The AEM F/IC comes with a harness that plugs into the unit, but that requires you to wire the other side into your Civic's ECU. However, we are now offering plug and play harnesses separately, which will save you the time (about 3-4 hours), headache, and possible errors associated with wiring the ECU side by yourself.
