Default Tie rod and cold start up questions

I have new inner and outer tie rods ready to be installed, realized I still need the steering rack boot to replace the old one. What else should I do while the tie rods are off? I heard something about the trailing arm bushing but not too sure on the location and difficulty of this task. Any ideas?

Also while I have a fresh thread opened I have a question about my cold starts first thing in the morning, the car will crank, rev then die off. If I try to give it gas during the first crank it will sputter, rev up then if I let go of the gas it'll return to idle rpm's then die. 2nd crank is normally a successful crank but it sometimes cut out but by the 3rd try it cranks then keeps idle just fine. Spark plugs and wires were replaced a few months ago so I am not too sure why it may be doing this. At any other time of the day when it starts to warm up it cranks up fine with no issues, no matter how long it's been sitting.. Only happens first thing in the morning and it's really cold, just recently starting since the temperature around here has been dropping these past few days.

What?

Trailing arms are on the rear suspension, and I am assuming you're referring to the front steering rack OP?

Guess I was mistaken is it the steering rack bushing? How difficult is the installation with inner and outer tie rods removed.
