Default 96 ek oem suspension questions

1) With the rear shocks, how do you tell which one goes on which side? I thought it was supposed to have a taper to it but I can't see it.. and I mixed up the shocks because I didn't label them.

2) Can someone explain this step for re-assembly: Align the bottom of damper spring and
spring tower seat to the alignment tab as shown (60degrees +/- 3 degrees)? I don't quite understand it.

3) Are there any stamped markings on the springs? To distinguish the springs.. I know the longer ones go up front.. but I want to make sure all the springs are right length (bought full oem susp used).

Just make sure you turn the shock hats correctly with the lower nut on the shock facing the front. There isnt a left or right.

Doesnt matter which way you put them. Left or right shock with left or right spring. Either will work.

Just make sure the nut on the bottom of the spring fork faces the front of the car. Otherwise reassembly will suck.
