First of all, love this forum great info lots of help. ok it's an 89 Hatchback 1.5 5spd. Stock cluster has no tach. in it so I bought an aftermarket one. Everything is hooked up power, memory, ground, my only other wire to hook up is a green one. It says i'm supposed to hook it to the tachometer sender or neg. on the coil. I'm guessing the coil is within the distributor. So does anyone know where to hook this last wire? I'm guessing it's a similar hookup with all aftermarket tachs. It's just a cheap 3" "Glowshift" tach nothing fancy. Help would be much appreciated. Thanks

 

Sorry should have wrote this up top. I got a stock cluster with a tach. off of a friend laying here. however there is a clear box in the middle of the back of the cluster with a blue female plug on it. I've got the 2 long flat plugs but no male plug for the one in the clear box. Is this going to work with my car? Or should I just keep the aftermarket one?

 

blue wire off the dizzy
