hey hows it going i have 1991 honda civic lx and i have a bit of a problem i cant figure out what is wrong with it it all started when my dumbs *** friend lost the screw to the rotor in my distributor. so he put in a smaller and like 2 almost 3 weeks later my car just dies when im driving and i didnt know what to start checking and since i got the distributor rebuilt i started there and when i opened it up the rotor just came popped off and i got that problem fixed but the car still wont start could what happend to the rotor have damaged the distributor ? any suggestions are appreciated thanks

 

its probably something else, try to describe exactly what happens when the car dies or doesnt start. You'll get better help good luck

 

well i havent been able to get to start since i fixed the rotor problem on the distributor it doesnt fully crank over like its not getting gas but i already check and the fuel pump is working and its sending fuel to the carburator and also when i try starting it it lighty backfires

 

ignition control module or your rotor my screw backed off my rotor twice threw a drop of lock tight on but not alot an its golden

 

ok so an update on my civic i put in new distributor , cap , rotor, spark plugs and still wont start then a friend got the idea to check to see if the spark plugs were getting spark and we checked piston one and it had spark then checked piston 2 and no spark the same for piston 3 and 4 so i changed them and it worked i got it started but now it idles perfectly but when i rev it up its starts to sputter and the rpm gauge starts jumpin i have no idea what to do now any ideas?
