Do you want me to move this to MC? You might get better responses there.

Viper 550 ESP.

edit: officially Viper can only be sold WITH INSTALLATION from an authorized dealer. However if you want I may be able to help you out. Maybe even save you some money as well. Email me.

i actually witnessed a manual car with remote start rigged take off down the driveway and into the ditch.

that was cool!!!

cool that it wasnt MY car.

the problem was he let his wife drive it, she forgot to always leave it in N.

oh and PS, the 550 ESP has remote start in it i think... I thought all the ESP's did???

I have a DEI 500HF in my car, been in there like 5 years now... good alarm. I also have 430T's (window rollup/down modules). People still love it when i arm it and all 4 windows transit up.. or they crack on those hot Florida (now iowa) days before i goto lunch.

Hohum.

ESP has nothing to do with remote start. ESP is the generation of Viper after the HF.

there's a big difference between 'an alarm kinda like' and a DEI Viper product. I'm not saying he got a bad alarm but DEI makes a quality product with great warranty and super customer service.

Alarms are one of those things you absolutely want done correctly.

oh I completely agree with you, but his alarm has a mile range, is good quality, and was done right. Maybe it was a DEI i'm not really an alarm person, so I can't say, but I know he has a good alarm.

But there's no more Clifford I need some replacement parts...I.E. 700IQ harness, probably siren and some miscellaneous parts. I'm having my old ACE300 removed and the 700IQ will take it's place.

Added: I have used Clifford on almost every car that I've had...the ACE300 and the 700IQ [which was in my '94 integ which got totalled].

Oh geez. Stupid me. I heard about it "soon after" the purchase was made. God, I'm not thinking today! ggggrrr

So to that effect, would DEI still have "Clifford brand" accessories available?? I can't seem to find a direct contact to DEI or "Clifford".

its easy all you gotta do is look above your clutch pedal, see the two wires there in the plug? strip em back and twist them together and ta da bypassed clutch the rest hooks up just like a remote start on auto.

the 560 i hear works with towers so your range is crazy i can't wait but doing window moduals is a bitch in the 5th gen cauz you have that big *** plastic brick that the door wires run through i'm not looking forward to that

that's the ghetto way.

and a window module is not fun at all. but as far as that magical mystery box that controls the windows.... just make all your connection between that and the window motors. Take the time and run your wires through the door jamb as well. You'll save yourself a lot trouble later on.
