More then likely a STUPID question!!!
ok like the title says this is prolly gunna **** some people off!....but i dont know the answer or anything about this...so here it goes
....i have a H22a4, JDM H22A, an H23 tranny, and an F22A1 tranny. i am wondering if i can get my F22 rebuilt into an LSD? or if i cant, is it worth getting it rebuilt for my JDM H22A running turbo? obviously i dont know the difference between LSD and regular other than LSD less slipping between the 2 wheels. and also does anyone know if any parts between the H22a4 and JDM H22A are interchangeable? and last. would it be a better idea to buy an LSD or use my H23 tranny instead of the F22A1 tranny? whatever tranny i go with i plan on getting it rebuilt and upgraded! one important note is that i plan on this setup topping out around 170 MPH...but i want it to get there FAST!....speed is not as important as QUICKNESS to this build!....thanks for reading

Ok... you have a ton to learn... but im bored at work so ill go ahead and type away
here is how it works.
One, don't use an f-series tranny for your h22 it's not as strong and the gear ratio is way long which will greatly affect acceleration.
On a transmission, the Differential is what transfers the power to the wheel, most of your power will go to your passengers front wheel with a regular differential. With an LSD differential, or Limited Slip Differential your transmission will transfer more power to both of your wheels. Obviously, the more power you can get to the wheels the better. you can have 1000 hp but if you cant get it on the ground you will go no where!
All H22 parts are interchangeable with other H22's, although some h22s do have better internals than others (like the Type S for example) Most all H-series parts are interchangeable, and even some f-series parts are interchangeable which is why u can use f-series trannys on h-series.
Another note: Why do you want your transmission to top out at 170mph? Just because your car is capable of traveling at a faster speed doesn't mean that it will be more fun. The fun from driving comes from how quickly you accelerate, so.. you dont have to travel at those speeds to experience "the rush". If you want to quickly get to 170mph.. your going to need to build your motor or at minimum do a stock turbo setup which you will see around 300-350hp from. You will not have very much fun, nor will you make it if trying to get to those speeds with ~165-170whp. That is, if your car is stock... Do you have anything done to the H22?
Also, where are you planning on topping your car out.. I have topped my car out when i used to have my h23a at 142 which is as far as it would go before hitting the rev limiter a few times and let me tell you, yea its fun but on the highway its really dangerous... it only takes one car a quarter of a mile ahead of you to switch lanes for it to be all over... With that being said.. good luck and don't be stupid! You can have fun without risking yours/others lives. I came very close to my end, and that was the last time i have seen those speeds.
H23 transmission has a longer gear ratio than the H22 transmission, which is why i kept my h23 on my 2000 sh h22 swap, because i plan on going turbo very soon. I like the stock gear ratio of the h23 for turbo more than the h22 transmission but if your jumping right into building your tranny then it doesn't really matter which h-series you use. a good LSD to install is Quaiffe, or if you want a cheaper one you can try out OBX which is about half the cost. Carbon coated syncros and a longer final and your set.

....thanks for the "words of wisdom"...oh and what is this OBX thing you are talking about?
