Default Steering Wheel repair

Well.... the solution has been found, and I thought i would post my experience with other R owners who may run into the same issue i did. I bought a used steering wheel not long ago that had a few wear marks (scuffs, showing some leather discoloration), etc.... but the wheel was in good shape other then that, nothing major.

So, i took the wheel to a local shoe repair place today and asked if anything could be done to restore it. The guy took the wheel to the back of his shop and came back with it 2 min later. OMG, i couldn't believe it. It was beautifull. "HOW the hell did you do that i asked?!?". He just responded by saying magicians don't tell their tricks. I left it at that, not getting charged, and thanking him about a dozen times. All I saw/heard was him using something that sounded like it was blowing air (maybe an airbrush, but I see NO unevenness in the leather!)

So, if any of you have leather wear uses (on a portable device like a steering wheel), take it into a shoe repair place. Will post pics later when its on the car.

JDM front is done and looking great. The car is at the alignment shop now should be done there in a few days [insurance is lagging ]. Then it's off to get some work done on the dyno. All in all a 4+ month project <sigh>, but I'm getting excited.
