Extremely quick installs...
So, here is the story...
I blew the head gasket on one of my cars, and my buddy here in Atlanta is a mechanic, so, we decided to trade some work. If he fixed my headgasket, I'd do something with his stereo. He orginally had these two alpine amps mounted to the backseat in his 92 accord, and a 1 cubic foot sealed box for the type E 12, not carpeted or anything, just thrown into his trunk, that was stripped down to the metal, no false floor over the spare tire well or anything. Well, I procrastinated, bc I didn't know how work on his end was coming, and I wasn't about to hook him up, unless I heard some positive news about my car. Part of the deal was that he was actually letting me borrow his car (it was a spare car of his, that he was going to give his little brother when he turned 16, thats why he wanted me to do the stereo). Well, He called me one morning, and said my car was ready! It was outta nowhere, and I hadn't even touched his stereo yet, bc he never let me know how work on my head gasket was coming. On top of that, he wanted to take the car outta town that night. So, now, it was ON!!! I got to work right away...
Here is what I started with:

Three hours later, this is what I had:

I ended up reusing his 1 cubic foot enclosure, mounting it to a fascia panel made of 1/4" MDF. Dynamated the whole trunk. Cut out openings for the amps, and mounted 1/4" acrylic from the bottom side of the 1/4" MDF that I used for the floor. It was a fairly simple install, only took 3 hrs, (I was stressin myself, and flyin through the job), and my buddy was floored! He didn't think I would do anything like that. I bet he was thinkin I was just gonna finish his box for him or something.
Unfortunately, I don't have pics of the 100% finished install. I took that floor back out, and the 1/2" MDF that the amps are mounted to, I don't know if you can tell in the pics, but It wasn't carpeted, so when he got back into town, I threw some carpet on that, and had ordered him some 18" neon tubes to put under that floor, so the window for the amps glowed blue. It wasn't bad at all for a total of like 3.5 hrs of work.
I just wanted to know if anyone else had some pics of some nice work that they had done in an impressive amount of time... Also, if you're in the Atlanta area, and can do mechanincal work and wanna trade for mechenical work, lemme know! I own 3 cars, and always need work done! LOL!

Yeah, just keep in mind, my work is waaayyyy better and way more detailed than this. It was just an example of being in a time crunch, and showing what could be done in 3 hours... Ive done some other crazy stuff, not worth taking pics of, in extremely quick time, like, I've done alarms in like 17 mins I think, alarms/remote starts with immobilizer bypasses in like 45 mins, just wanted to see if anyone else get excited about putting up some quick install times, and the work actually comes out nice...
Alarm, Remote Start, Keyless, Bypass, Smart Start, Radio, Front Speakers in a 2004 Silverado in 63 minutes, that's my claim to fame, haha. Deck in a 2000 F-150 in 2 Minutes, 15 seconds...thank you 80 series metra harnesses, HAHAHAHAHA
Have you ever had a customer get mad at you bc you quoted them like 45 mins on a radio, so they walk across the street to eat, but you call them like 5 mins later to tell them its done? That's BS! I stopped calling when I finish early at this point... LOL!
i never call when it's that quick. i love when a sales guy quotes 2 hours for labor, pre-sells 1 hour, and i never even have to move the car because its done in like 10 seconds...yay alarm issues.

Yeah its funny when you tell the customer their neon is done and they get confused! They always say "the silver neon?, I have a silver neon!" and you have to tell th em three times, yes its done.
