Default Headlight recommendation?

I want to replace my original 00 Civic headlights with brighter bulbs. Maybe even a bluish/purple color. Can anyone here recommend the best ones, and where the best place to buy them is?
Thanks

While blue is "cool looking" you actually don't get "brighter" light from them. By definition daylight is the best light for the human color spectrum. By going blue you actually lose about half the lumens your stock halogen puts out. Even some of the "blue-ish" HID plug and play kits put out less light than a good halogen bulb.

Your best bet for what you're looking for is an HID retrofit. If you don't have the $200-$400 for that you could upgrade to these:

If you go with these I know it's in Euros, it will convert to dollars when you check out.

Probably the best halogen bulb money can buy reasonably.

the VisionX bulbs are a nice super white 55/65 drop in replacement. the thing to keep in mind is you need to order an H4 instead of the 9003. lifetime warranty on the bulbs isn't a bad thing either
