Sh Build 2.3 crank
Ok Guys,I Am Building A H22a4 Sh block And What I Need From U Is Any Knowledge of What works And What Doesnt. It Is A 55mm Main H23a Crank For The 2.3 Stroke 3.740 Inch And a Set Of I Beam rods. I Have Been Looking At The Type S Dome Pistons Or The Mahle Gold Series Pistons. Dont Plan on Any Boost As The ATTS Box I Have Heard does Not Like Over 250 HorsePower. Going For A Strong All Motor Combo That Will Be Computer Friendly...................... Would like to Be Around 11.0 To 11.3 Compression And I Know the longer Stroke is Gonna Raise The compression Too..
Well Guys And Gals I Have Run Into A small Issue You Have To Modify The Oil squirters To Clear The Extra Stroke of The 3.740 Crank, No Big Deal turn The Crank Over in the block And Bend The squirters In A downward Direction About .100 Of a Inch............... Also Make A Small Notch In The piston Skirt To Clear The squirter.......................
you dont need the oil quirters.
what pistons are you going to use? the only piston that will put you at ~11.1 with the h23 crank/rods is the A4 pistons which have floating wrist pins. You will need to have the h23 rods sent to a machine shop to alleviate that problem.
what do you plan on doing about the computer?
just FYI, Type S pistons will put you around 12:1 compression

Well, I Am Using A Probe 14520 5.580 Rod which Is Bushed On The small end And The Type s Dome Pistons..... The Piston Is out of the Deck .026 So I ordered A .060 Thick cometic Gasket....
