Default CR-V Valve adjustment?

Hi Guys, Was wondering if the 98 CR-V requires periodic valve adjustments. I noticed last weekend while I had the valve cover off(timing belt replacement) that there are adjusters on the rockers.
Alldata doesn,t have any procedure. The engine seems a little louder than Im used to,but this may be normal.
Miles on the clock...148,000...98 CR-V EX..all stock.

you're supposed to adjust them every 30k. i'm surprised you didn't have problems yet. cr-v's are notorious for clearance problems.

Honda recommends adjusting them at 105,000 miles. Or before that if they get noisy.

Thanks, kinda figured as much,Ive just had this CR-V for about 2 weeks, and have been doing some LONG overdue maintenance......Any chance there is a link to somewhere that will give me the clearances, and procedure?
I subscribe to Alldata, but strangely enough there is no reference to valve adjustment....

Yup.....that way they can sell you a new head when all the seats/valves are burnt and or pounded out. I work at a honda dealer and we replace a fair amount for cylinders heads on 1st gen cr-v's. Honda america says 105k, but most other countries recommend 30k iirc.

It had something to do w/ americans thinking 30k valve adjustments was too frequent cause we're fat and lazy so they made it 105k.
