Brake light problem
Okay, 94 Integra GS. People who have had it before have mangled most of the wires in the car, fixed it and removed a whole bunch of wires they put in. Now, when you push down on the brake pedal, the right turn signal will come on. Not flashing, just steady. The reverse lights also come on and the rear passanger side taillights will light up but not as quickly or as bright as the driver side. I've checked all the fuses, took the interior apart to inspect the wires and see if there were any bad connections everything seems good. But why are the right turn signal and reverse lights coming on when the brakes are pushed? Could I have possibly crossed a wire somewhere?
Sounds like the ppl who owned the car before you did something with a ground. I had an eg coupe, years ago, and I cut the rear deck lid for a 10" sub. Well, in order to cut it, I had to relocate a factory ground. I forgot abt it at first, when I went to drive the car, one of the turn signals stayed on solid, and the brake lights were acting funky. I regrounded the wires, and everything worked like a champ...
Yeah, it was really strange. I checked all the grounds in the car, didn't tighten or take anything off. They just started working again, no idea how it happened.
