Default Clear over OEM paint?

I bought a 91 CRX with great paint (for now). My experience with Honda paint of this era is that they aren't nearly as durable as a modern base/clear. Is it possible to clear over the OEM paint? Or will it require an entire respray.

No need to prime unless you're covering body work and are going to block sand it smooth. Also, no need to use sealer unless you're covering primer or mismatched colors.

To re-clear a whole car is to do an 'entire respray'. You're not saving any time or much effort by just re-clearing it. There are no steps that are different or any more/less work you'll need to do in order to put color on. Like gorillafart said, just respray both color and clear. It's a simple overall paint job.
