Are all blow off valves the same other than sounding different? Any recommendations? Anyone have any used one for sales?

i heard the greddy one is "loudest". I have a blitz super and it sounds pretty loud even only boosting 5 pounds.

 

i have the blitz, and my roommate has the hks. i think the hks has a much better sound. just like a rally car! from what i heard, the greddy is the quietest

 

me too.. i also heard greddy is the quietest... not for sure tho...my friend has an hks and that thing is LOUD... but i believe you can adjust the sensitivity on BOVs cant you? sorry wouldnt know cuz im not boosting... but if you want my friend (i think) is selling his blitz bov, let me kno if your interested

the hks bov has a tendencey to leak. not all bov's are the same...ive talked to many in the FI forum, and the general agreement is that blitz has the best bov...if youre solely concerned with sound then go ahead with the hks...i just wouldnt want to worry about compressor surge.

Loudest? Look into the SheepDog (only available in Japan) or the XSTurbo RFL.

 

Turbo xs rfl is the LOUDEST, I have a vortech myself and it sounds nice

 

Mine and my friends greddy typeS BOV sounds like lasers. Thats the best way I can describe it. If I had to buy another one I would get the blitz. I think that was the one that just sounds like "a lot of air." Sorry do not know any other way to describe it.

 

just depends on how much ur boosting. i had the hks ss. i loved it.

 

Just curious, I know this is might be a tough question to describe but how does the vortech BOV sound? Comparable to any of the other popular BOV? Thanks
