When you say the car was rebuilt 6k miles ago but then the rings went up so soon why not take it back to the place who rebuilt the engine and say what the heck?
also if you drove it home even when smoking it should still start up now, does it not start at all? any trades for auto or just 5 spd

 

I dont really have time to haul the car to Newark to work the situation out, plus it was the previous owners business deal...

It started and ran for awhile and I drove it about 10 miles to work and it sat until I drove it back home. The car was obviously hurt when I traded it. Then the tags ran out on it and I have not touched the car since. But I do know it will not start and two cylinders are dead with about 80-90psi.
