Default Should I get it?

Hello everyone,

I am looking at purchasing an 89 cbr400 hurricane. However, it needs some work, but it doesn't seem hard. I'm new to motorcycles and figured this bike would be fast enough to hold onto for a while, but not so fast to be impossible to learn on. It's $300 with 40k miles on it and the guy said it's sat for around 5 years and has frozen carbs. Good idea? Thanks.

Are you prepared to do a lot of work on it? Because a bike that old, with that much mileage, and sitting for five years is probably going to need a LOT.
