Default Help me play Legos with my Exhaust plans

Ok I am going from full stock exhaust system to upgrade RH and catback on a $475 budget. For a 2002 Type-S. Best bang for my buck that I researched so far is OBX RH paired with OBX catback.

Will I have ANY fitment problems during install or exhaust piping rattling anything?

Will the header and exhaust inlets match diameter wise and bolt holes line up?

Is the diameter of the exhaust 2.5" since the header is 2.5"?

I researched exhaust diameter is only 2.36" so can the bolt holes line up?

Also I seen that the RH difference in hp is around 7 and 4 more torque from looking at the dyno. Anyone have exhaust dyno for the OBX?

I would've expected more from an '06 member with 1k+ posts.

Come back if you still have questions.

Edit: you even double-posted this on CRSX too. FA!L

You linked me to a thread that has no answers to my questions in which I have checked before posting. I am asking for specifications on a particular brand name product and experiences from those that have dealt with the fitment and power gain testing of it. Why is it fail to ask the same question on 2 completely separate message forums? I don't see any fail until you link to me a thread that has already covered my questions.

Okay, fine let me break it down for you...

Most aftermarket race headers will rub against the OEM swaybar, unless you have stiffer motor mounts or use a different sway bar. Just expect this, it's a common problem with race headers. Does OBX rub? Install it and find out

Assuming the RH is designed to match the catback, then yes it will bolt up fine.

You answered your own question, you asked it it's 2.5" and then stated it's 2.36". I'm assuming the RH and collector is 2.5" and then steps down to 2.36" at the catback.

Just remember that an exhaust system is like a straw, it will only flow as much as the smallest bottle neck point (2.36"). With a Type-S motor, you really want a full 2.5" exhaust. Even companies that advertise 2.5" (like Greddy) will still have bottle neck points at the flanges. True hardcore street tunerz will chop out the bottle necks and re-weld their mad-tight Greddy fart cannon to increase flow. Or just buy a quality exhaust like Thermal that actually has 3" piping throughout the entire exhaust.

And don't pay attention to expected dyno numbers. Without Kpro to re-tune the ECU to accomodate the increase in flow, you'll probably barely even notice a better flowing exhaust on your highly calibrated butt dyno.

You're acting like an exhaust system will be the greatest mod in the world. It's just an exhaust system, and it will be better than what you have now. Does it make the most power out of any exhaust system available? Absolutely not, it's OBX. Dyno graphs? Please. Like I said, without Kpro this isn't even that beneficial, it will just make your car loud and annoying (and probably raspy, since it's OBX).

And it's fail to ask on two different forums because CRSX has the answer to everything RSX related, period. They're like crack heads for RSXs. It's a site dedicated to the RSX which gets way more traffic and RSX-enthusiasts than Honda-Tech.

Ok thank you for taking the time to answer my questions but it wasn't what I was looking for. I understand already all that you have posted and from lack of info that I'm looking for the only option is find out the hard way...

I mean any time you order something aftermarket (even if it's vehicle specific) the fitment is always a gamble.

...Except for my T1R midpipe. That thing fit like a glove.
