Frost White 1991 CRX Si *take two!*
My first car back in '06 was a Canadian 91 Si, rust free quarters, JDM front end, boosted and rebuilt the A6 all before I got my drivers license. It was a wicked fun first car but after I spun out in the middle of traffic, hit a telephone pole and hard learned lesson about street racing, I ended up parting it out and selling it. A shame too because I was almost finished saving up all the money I needed for a respray.

Fast forward a few years and several other Hondas (a DC, three EF hatches and a CTR powered EG) I finally found a clean shell to build that is Frost White. This is the car that I sold in order to buy the Rex.

Despite being a gay USDM with gay door mounted seat belts the wheel wells are clean and the body is straight.

The motor is quite odd to me as it looks to be OBD2 by the valvecover and dipstick on the far right but the block says ZC although I thought they ceased production back in the early 90's???

The first things I did were clear the codes 20 and 9. Code 20 turned out to be a bad valve cover ground so I crimped up a new one and away she went, code 9 on the other hand needed a new dizzy to be cleared. I also put the OEM intake back in complete with snorkel, put on a non-cruise EF sedan steering wheel and sold the wheels so I could put snowies/steelies on it because B.C. winters can get shitty. I also gave the car a full tune-up (air filter, fuel filter, oil filter/change, NGK plugs/wires, dizzy cap and rotor), put in a stronger starter and replaced some missing or broken interior pieces like the clock and holy **** handle.

See what I mean about the motor, anyone seen a ZC like this before?

Put a Compustar Pro 2 way alarm in.

This is what $600 in brakes look like, but god damn such a nice pedal feel.

Swapped out the ripped cargo cover out for a minty one.

And that's how the car sits today, but I've got a spare room full of parts waiting to go into it over the winter. Cant wait to put these babies in, I scored the door panels, switches, regulators, seat belts and harness for a jawdropping cheap price from a random junkyard hidden out in the country. This means I can finally swap to pillar mounted belts, woot!

Also got a few more parts to clean up the car a bit and convert it as much as possible to CDM.

Minty drivers seat to match the pass. side.

I also have been getting together a motor to build for boost in the near future. D16Z6 block, Y8 head/intake manny, SRP pistons, Eagle rods.

Thinking 'bout polishing the block or powdercoating it.

AEM UEGO, Phantom EGT and Oil Press. gauge.

Some wheels off my old car for when spring time rolls around. 15" Buddy Club P1 SF and Yokohama S.drive tires.

And that's about it for now, it's gonna be a fun winter

Thanks Chris, what's going on with the green machine?
I made some progress on the car today, took out the seats and vacuumed out the carpet. I also took a Magic Eraser to the entire interior then coated it in Meguires and swapped shift ***** to a DC2 OEM ****. I pulled the USDM tach out of the old cluster and put it in the CDM cluster I bought (because it doesn't have the french writing
) and rolled the KMs ahead to match the miles on the chassis. I also gave the tail light seals a wash and installed my new right side tail light. Woot, gettin cleaner and cleaner every day.

I'm making slow progress at the moment. I work up in Fort McMurray now so I don't have lots of time for the car right now. But I've been stock piling parts as of late tho. Got most of my K-swap parts except the swap (mounts, wiring, etc.) Picked up a set of gunmetal/black Volk TE37's. Got all the rear suspension bushing swapped over to the energy bushings. Still waiting on the trailing arm bushings tho, think I'll go with the spherical bearings. But if I keep things up at my current pace I should be on track to get the car on the road for May of next year. Then I'll get the body work and paint done over 2011 winter.
Keep up the progress! It looks like you're putting in as much effort as your EG, and if that's the case this should be a sick EF!
Cheers,
Chris

cool build. looking good so far.
engine is a obd2 zc from a Integra 1.6ti. DC1 (available auto AWD) lol
google it some yahoo auctions have the engine pics with them. I have one is how I know.
similar to a y7 but a little heavier cam, and comes with a y8 manifold. 120hp

Awesome man, thanks for the info. After reading your post I translated Wikipedia Japans Integra page and sure enough your right. That's kind of cool actually, I'm sure Integra SOHC motors aren't very common.
Not yet where I live but it's supposed to dump hard this year. Last year we got one snowfall, the year before then we had weeks of it. Being on the coast makes the weather very unpredictable pretty much year round.
I got around to soldering an OEM stereo plug back onto my interior harness (FYI EG plug will work and matches all but one wire colour) and installed my Alpine BlueTooth deck and JBL component speakers in the front. I haven't found a good spot for the tweeters yet so they sound a little flat but I also have JBL coaxials for the back that are waiting to be installed. Has anyone got any good examples of tweeter locations that don't involve hacking any part of the interior?

Here's a pic of what the waterfall looks like now, deck wired in the right way, uncracked climate control and the DC2 ****.

And the cluster after I swapped the USDM tach into it and rolled the odometer up to match the chassis. Also nice to see the CEL off.
