i have a 1993 honda accord s/e and the other day i started my car and put it in reverse, then put it in 4th to start driving down the road. i noticed the 4th gear started blinking. i pulled back into my driveway and turned the car off. i read on the forums here that its my TCM. i tried to jump it by using wire to connect the two connectors, but the 4th gear didnt blink at all with the cars dash lights on but not running. no blinks at all. so i went out got another TCM, replaced it, unplugged my battery. plugged it back up and started my car, put it in reverse, then drive in 4th. this time the 4th gear stayed on constantly and it felt laggy, and i drove it for a few minutes to check for anything. it didnt seem to shift at all, while in 4th gear. im pretty confused right now and any advice would be appreciated.

 

sounds like the tcm is bad. you can have it rebuilt for 100 bucks. Was the second tcm a used one?
