Default TOOO hot for TOOO long

ok on my prelude 1993 with f22a1

Ebay header 2.5 collector
2.5 mandrel bent exhaust no cat
Cold air intake AEM

Problem: Car runs way to hot in stop and go traffic
3/4 on my dash gauge.

solution: replaced water pump/timing belt
replaced radiator. and hoses.
bought new cooling fans.
put a heat wrap around exhaust
replaced therm
new after market gauge for temp.
200-220 seems too hot for my liking

still runs at 1/2 on open road 3/4 in city driving
anyone got some ideas? i've spent about 250$ and have had no luck

my buddy's prelude doesn't ever run past 1/2 on his gauge and he has similar mods exhaust and intake.

whats causing this? is it too hot? i searched for temp.'s cam up with nothing.

not throwing a check engine light!

Replace OEM heat shield?

Maybe that cheap (inexpensive), thin gauge, ebay header creates a ton of heat under the hood.

Yeah, if it fits. Air is a better insulator than whatever you might be able to wrap around it the tubes. Is the header ceramic coated? Likely not but I thought I'd ask.

are you sure the sending unit is functioning properly? does the temp go down almost immediately after you start moving in stop and go traffic?
