2008 honda accord coupe ex cutting the shifter
Hey guys, I was wonder what your thoughts were on cutting the shifter for a manual transmission. I want my shift **** to be counter sunk, and there isn't any kits available to do this. Could I run into any real problems doing this? Thanks in advanced.
So many views, and no responses lol.
On the 7th gen, the shifter has a kink that would make it difficult to shorten as much as you want, but an inch or so would be easy with a metric die kit.
Pull down the boot then unscrew the **** and see what's there. I do prefer the Mazda6/Infinity G35 lower shift lever, but not enough to do it myself. Lowering it below the console I'd think you'd need to lower the whole linkage. That's probably not that hard since it is cable actuated.
