Icon2 Gsr powered crx with b16 tranny quick question about "shaving" stock crx clutch cable

So basically ive searched and i know that a teggy 90-93 clutch cable works fine and is more then long enough BUT i got a new 1988 crx d16 clutch cable and know that it fits and works fine if you shave off "the rubber piece" but im unsure of what rubber piece this is.

Can someone please explain? thanks

btw im assuming that its the rubber piece that mounts to the top of the bracket that mounts to the tranny but im obviously unsure

cars a crx with a jdm gsr and a jdm b16 tranny.

Stop trying to cut corners and get the teggy clutch cable.
"shaving" has to be the worst thing I've heard.
And it wont fit. the cable isnt long enough.

*waits for BS cable "shaving" job to break*
