I run a 90amp breaker in my car.. works fine... Be sure to have a decent size wire.

I have a 100 amp with 4ga wire. Never had a problem and if your car is USDM it will have a 60 amp fuse under the hood also to protect it. Put the breaker about 18" from the battery it will protect the battery adn the under hood will protect everything else.
