Default Recommendations for a $100-150 amp?

I'm looking to purchase a amplifier for my JL Audio 12' w0v2 subwoofer. I've eyeing these two amps but I want a second opinion before I make a purchase. I'm looking to spend no more than $150 on an amp. You guys have any other suggestions other than these two?

So that 12w0 only comes with a single 4 ohm coil. Btwn those two amps, I like the JL amp better, for two reasons... The power more closely matches the power that sub is designed to handle, and it comes with a remote bass ****.

The Alpine is great, bang for the buck wise. It puts out a lot of power, for such a low price. If you think you would ever consider adding a second 12w0, you may consider the Alpine amp just so you have the extra power already on hand...

What ohm should I be getting? I just wanna run the sub at about 300watts rms max. BTW, it is the w0V2 i'm getting, not the old regular w0.

I dunno guys

230 for 500 x 1? That can be found for half the price.

$109 + you get an extra channel. If you wanna run quad's, you can do that too since it does 160 x 4 @ 2 ohm.

Just browsing.

http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...+ONX4.125.html

Same price as the alpine

Double the power. 500 x 2 @ 4

You can even run up to 4 single 8 ohm subs on that amp

The 500watt rms Alpine amp I'm looking at is actually only $135 on ebay from a top seller free shipping. I just put that link up there so ya'll could see the specs on it.

wut?

You can use any amp for subs as long as it's stable at the final ohm load and has a low pass filter.

the OP was talking about ONE 12" sub, why would you recommend a 4ch and talk about running 4 8ohm subs??

I know..just food for thought on what cheaper amps can do.

Anywho, mb quart dsc 2150(if OP can still find one on the cheaps) would be a good bang for buck.

From what i remember, i think it does 600 x 1 @ 4

Before it recently got stolen I had an alpine MRP-M650(650 into 2 ohms) mono channel. I was using it with an alpine type r, 10". Never had any problems with the amp. If using ebay you can get it cheaper than current amp you had priced. Think better deal overall.
