Fender change issue....
After a small fender bender I finally am getting to replacing my fender myself with one I got in a yard (same color.... lucky me !!).
Only problem is I cant figure out how to get the long black molding that runs below the doors 'and length of car) off to get access to the fender lower bolts.
Its item 1&2 in the attached pic.

I got the plastic plugs out from below but I cant seem to get the clips to break loose and I'm scared to break something. What is the trick ?

if it's like the 94-97, which is likely, just remove the screw(s) in the front of it behind the front tire, remove the clips for it under the car, then push or rubber hammer the whole thing forward toward the front tire, and it will pop off all the internal clips. to get the clips off the rocker panel, turn them 45 degrees and they will pull out. you can then put them back into the trim panel and push the panel on directly after you finish the body work. this means you don't install in the reverse order of removal.
