Default 1986-1991 Rx7 turbo manifold kit.

Boostflow make a really cool twin scroll turbo manifold combo w/ dp and dump tubes for a Rotary shop in phoenix called Arizona Rotary Rockets. They are a top shop they do some really nice work we are happy to help them out with this true twin scroll kit. Enjoy the pics we thought they turned out really cool Tommy Flow is our fabricator and welder he is top notch and well know in the honda world.

No potential issues with wastegate diaphram failures from sitting the heads of the wastegates right on top of the runners?

Wow. Looks like your guy can weld, so why the thicker pipe? Just weighs more and steals heat from the system.
Any pics of the inside? The weld caps don't look very wide for sch.40. Must be a really tight bevel.

Sch.10 304 or 1/16" 321. The thicker pipe is usually used for a "safety margin" when guys are not experienced, or they really want overkill. I just always think of the heat soaked up by the thicker material, and mostly the extra weight.
As I mentioned, it looks like the fab guy can weld just fine, so I was just wondering what the reason was. It will certainly work, but it weighs more, costs more, and takes longer to weld.
I was just curious, want to learn something. The product looks great.

we use mainly turbosmart and have never had issues. We know AZRR has a couple of cars running this setup for a pretty long time with zero issues. The gates get good air flow we should have taken a picture with the gates they are not really that close picture does not do alot of justice to the placment.

The kit looks good.
Bells, rotaries are known for producing more heat than a piston motor. All the rotary manifolds I've seen were constructed with thicker pipes. N/A or turbo.

All of my rotary manifolds are sch10, who are you refering to as all?

Also still see those wastegates getting very heat soaked in that position. Regardless the welding looks good.

Every Manifold we had in schedule 10 before going to boostflow cracked....The base egt with good tuning is 1600deg F I assure you schedule 10 will crack, at least thats been my 15 years experience building big single turbo rotaries.

As far as the gate issue, there are none, I am sure you can find other things to nit pick, I have had no issues with gates failing in this position. I have a personal car running similar setup yet gates are closer to runners and I was running 1800+deg f egt while running lean to test a set of Dr. Francesco ceramics no waste gate issues what so ever.

I wonder about how big the exhaust ports are? How much power is each runner trying to evacuate the heat from? Are you sizing the pipe large enough?
Getting hotter makes sense since two runners are tasked with moving roughly the same amount of energy as 4 or 6 regularly would.
That's also a good reason for cracking. 2runners holding up the same weight as 4 are usually asked to do. A brace would also help.

We think glens(azrr) previous builder that made it out of schedule 10 used 2inch just like we use in schedule 40. Hopefully he can shed some light on your questions soon....

huh i didnt realize that was 2" sch 40 pipe u were using i assumed it was 1.5", bells made a good point about the amount of exhaust flow. (waits for glen to chime in cause curious now)
