Default which coils to use? motec m8 + aem epm?

hi guys,
i upgraded my M4 to a M8 and i will be using a AEM epm for trigger on my D16.

i'm not sure yet on which coils to use, CBR's? or maby stock k20 if they are the same size as the 2001 civic coils,

any advice? whats the part number of the cbr coil everyone use?

CBR's (1000RR kind) will work, but I'm not sure how you'd get them to hold down. You'll have to fab up a plate of some sort to hold them down.

If they are CBR coils they need the plugs that you can remove the tops from, so they kinda hold themselves down

I would get the Aem coils. They pay for themselfs, too run the Cbr coils you have too run the NGk Irdiam plugs that cost 8 each. With the Aem coils you can run regular ngk plugs.

If you use the AEM coils then you can't use an M&W ignition.... which I do believe he is using....

I know someone that was using the M&W Pro4 with them, so I would believe it would work.

Then what are you going to use? You need a driver like the AEM twin spark or the M&W to make the spark....

The Motec is just a trigger for the spark.

It's not good for the AEM coils due to the type of coil it is. CBR coils are what's correct for use with the M&W.

cbr coils hold themselves into place no problem with proper plugs
