Me and 3 other friends are heading to maryland for import vs domestic at MIR, im about to book a hotel (hope some are still available), and im looking to book it within a short walking distance of a good hotspot, if anyone can give me any tips, that would be great! We want to see what the party scene is like down there A street, or intersection or any tips or details would be awesome!

 

Most people are staying at the La Quinta Inn, Comfort Suites, and Country Inn& Suites. Just mention MIR and they give you a discount too. They are all in a cluster right beside each other and only 20 minutes from the track. They are in Waldorf, MD and lots of restaurants right there in town. Also a Hooters in town also.

Yeah, thats in Waldorf. Plenty to do there.

 

In Waldorf the only places I would recommend are Hard Times (bar and 16 pool tables) or Bostons. In La Plata you have Greene Turtle. In California, MD you have Cheeseburger in Paradise. In Solomons Island you have Catamarans or Calypso Bay.

I would say Hard Times would be a good place for everyone to go, it has a lot of space, a lot of TVs and beer.

 

Saturday night most people at the WCF will go to where the Factory Shootout cruise is headed to at their rally point in Waldorf. There are a bunch of restaurants in that parking lot: Famous Daves, TGIFs, Red Robin, Wild Wings, Noodles and Company, etc..

That is going to be the big party spot on Sat night.

We will be giving out directions to there at the WCF on Saturday and have flyers available in the tower, just come and ask for one.
