Default stock ITR header vs aftermarket..

hey ht... i was wondering about headers... i am going to be getting an itr swap here over christmas.. and i was wondering if the itr header is better than the aftermarket ones available that bolt on without modification?

is there any difference between the 96 spec and the 98 spec itr headers? would a set of dc headers be better than the stock itr header? im running some DC headers on my b16... and i was wondering when i swap my motor weather or not i should swap my dc header onto the new ITR.. easy fix at a muffler shop i think like 60 bucks.

thats just the thing.. i do NOT want any exhaust shops hack work done to my car... i want my 600 dollar exhaust not touched... hence forth why i keep saying bolt on..

The 96-97 ITR's come with a cast manifold, 98+ have the tubular with the bigger collector...Your average off the shelf DC header is probably gonna make the same or possibly less power than a 98 spec.

well, im getting the 96 spec swap... so maybe the dc is the better header...

96 spec swap has the cast iron manifold but as long as its a jdm swap, the collector will be 2.5 inch, so unless you get the 2.5 inch 4-1 dc header, your probably better off sticking with the 96 spec itr one.
