if i lower my car with either eibach prokit springs (1.3") or comptech sport springs (1.25") do i need to change out my stock shock or will i be fine? BTW i do not plan on autocrossing. how about a camber kit? will i need it? i am mainly planing on lowering the car for looks and for a lill better handling
You dont have to get new shocks, but the ride is gonna be a little bouncy if you dont. You wont need a camber kit if you only lower your car a lil bit. You should be fine with just springs for now and you can add shocks later when your stock shocks give out. Happy lowering
the eibach springs say that they lower 1.3 in. should i expect 1.4-1.5 lower? i heard that they usually don't compensate for extra stuff in the car.
I ran my car on 1.25" springs with stock shocks for about a year before they gave up, but they were the originals and there was 60k on them, so they didnt do too bad. I replaced them with mugen jobbies, best move i ever made.
hmm... i had neuspeed springs that lowered my car about 1.5 (settled) and my shocks blew 15,000 miles after i put them in... so now i feel my tire rubbing against my fender trim everytime i go over a speed bump!!!! sucks being broke

makes a mess in the fender-well with oil (if oil filled) newer ones in cars are gas filled but when going down the road you will bounce and not have a cushion to regain control...that is what a strut does cushions the springs bounciness. also stiffens when in turns
