Sorry, but Honda uses their own stupid proprietary bulb base. It's essentially a H4 bulb with different tab spacing, so if you break off the 2 lower tabs an H4 will fit the socket (big tab at 12 o'clock you leave alone). I've been doing this in my VFR for years now...it takes the same bulbs.

you want really bright? Get an HID system. Best way to get the most light. Someone out there has base that modifys the base without having to snap off the tabs. Best way is the HID system IMO

HID would work, as the 900RR uses a 2-bulb headlight. You would have to rewire one bulb to be low beam, and one high-beam though. This is a common mod to Honda's ST1100 touring bike, and I've seen a few done. The increased light output is incredible, compared to the stock lame bulbs...excellent if you ride a lot at night.

there isnt a high/low setting. Its pretty much just on or at least thats how it is on my dads Harley I did. You use the high for flashing people thas about it. Or you can go nutty and get and HID for EACH side... Itwoul dbe like day time!!!!

That's true, each bulb is either low-beam (shielded) or high-beam (not shielded). On the ST1100's with HIDs, the left was the low-beam HID, and the right was the high (normally both are on all the time, with dual-filament halogens to do the high-low thing). Here's a link to one person's writeup on how to do it for dual-bulb headlights...it's for the ST but should adapt easily enough.
