I just bought an AC compressor and condensor from a guy who pulled them off of his 99 honda civic. Will these work on my 91 civic?

 

As long as the fittings are the same, the 91 Civics A/C lines, [fittings] must fit the 99 Civics compressor, [manifold] and the condensor fittings.

The compressor must be "mountable" so pulley will line up.

With that said, your 91 is an R12 system and the 99 is an R134a system, different refrigerants, this does not mean they can't be made to work.

Anyway, there are two diff. comp. used on the 91, depending on engine size.

There are two diff. comp. for the 99

You can look them up hear... http://www.4s.com/Online%20Catalogs-...g/Content.aspx put the cursor over the part number to see the compressor, you will see the manifolds are diff, mounting of the two 91 comp. is diff., the two pulleys are diff.

The two 99 comp use the same mounting, [same engine] but the pulleys and manifolds are a little diff.

Mods will be needed to install either of the 99 comp. on your 91. 94

 

So I am pretty much screwed and have to buy a complete system from a 88-91

I have every thing behind the firewall with the two short ac lines sticking out of the firewall. I also have the canister.

 

Then as long as you can mount the compressor properly, you can get the compressor suction and discharge lines, [hose assemblies] from four seasons... http://www.4s.com/Online%20Catalogs-...g/Content.aspx that fit the compressor you have.

The other ends of the two compressor lines may or may not fit the 91 components, [they may have to be changed]. 94

 

So I might as well just sell these and just start from scratch at a junk yard. less of a head ache any way lol.
