Wheel hop and LCA Q's
I have an 05' EL (the same as a 4dr civic with and A2 but better looking) and I have been wanting to reduce/remove the wheel hop I occasionally get. Since we have cheap MacPhearson fronts instead of the older superior double wishbone (I miss my older EL) I have been looking at what the VW guys do.
They do one of, or both of these solutions. Install a stiffner, looks like a clevis into the rear motor mount stiffing it up. OR install aftermarket bushings on the LCA.
Now the design of the LCA bushings has me somewhat upset. I have already replaced the bushings on my wifes civic due to the rubber tearing, and I think my car isn't that far behind. Has anyone looked at/tried aftermarket bushing for the LCA's with any success with wheel hop?
Thanks guys.

That is where I thought I would end up. I know Energy makes inserts, and now from toyomatt84 I know Mugen makes them as well. Or go the uber-cheapo method of filling the factory ones with urethane rubber.
toyomatt84 - What was the reasoning for replacing the bushings? Did you replace the busing just for the sake of of the k-swap (and 5-bolt I assume?) or did the factory rubber ones tear on you?

PS. No 5-lug, I stayed 4 because I've got a collection of 4-lug wheels.
Motor Mount inserts helps a lot, ive got them and besides a rough idle, the improved shifts and wheel hop are totally worth it. Shifts feel very solid, and I havent had any wheel hop problems.

Beautiful! Thanks for all the help guys. I guess I'm going shopping now. I will try and post an update, but realistically I wont get to this for about a month or so. Life just keeps getting in the way of finding time to work on my hobbies.
