My front motor mount is busted and i was just curious if anyone had used motor mounts from Ebay and if the were worth buying.

 

if its a component as important as holding your motor in your car i wouldent go with ebay motor mounts. I would spend more on something important like that. Just my opinion.

 

I agree. If your on a budget pick one up from the wreckers, even if its used it`d still be Honda OEM.

 

01-05 Honda OEM motor mounts are garbage. If they werent, you wouldnt be reading about people breaking them all the time.

I have ebay motor mounts as well as ebay lower control arms.
A lot of people make the mistkake of thinking they are "ebay brand" like ebay somehow makes these parts and they must be garbage.

They are simply aftermarket motor mounts.

If anything, they work just as well as the crappy Honda mounts so why pay the Honda price.

Ive bought motor mounts off of ebay before for more than 1 car and they are always as good or better than oem.

 

People call it ebay brand because random no name companies produce these parts cheaply, hence the cheap price.

they sell the same aftermarket brands as most automotive stores...

 

ya i've bought from their before always good parts and for some reason its dirt cheap

 

buy the ones from the wreckers and put polyurethane bushing inserts in them. i snapped two sets of oem mounts in the same month. i put the inserts in and they have lasted over a yr and are still good. and i beat on the car pretty hard.im going threw trannys faster than mounts.

 

What were the problems you were having that let you know it was your motor mounts? I'm hearing some sounds coming from the front of my car and I am beginning to think it is the mounts.

 

How can you tell if your mounts are bad because i think mys are bad?
