Dent below Door right next to fender
I have never posted in the Paint and Body section but glad to finally take a look over on this side of honda-tech. looks like good stuff going on in here.
I had an indecent where my car fell off a jack stand denting the body right below my driver side door. I have never done any body work aside from stripping the paint from my bumper and I am looking to go at this one as a learning experience.
I picked up a JDM front end for my car and plan on having it painted soon, but would like to get this part of my car painted at the same time to cut down on costs..I just don't know how to go about it or if it something I should seek professional work from.
I am aware the fender is messed up. I already have a new one for it and that was actually from some lady backing into me, completely unrelated and no problems other then the fender being bent.
What I am looking for is some basic ideas or websites on how to go about this. Im guessing step one would be to get the dent out. Some sort of drilling and slide hammer action. Then sanding to metal applying body filler primer then have it sent to get painted.
Any advice would be awesome.
Thanks

sounds like you have a pretty good understanding right there.

Maaco quoted me 4 hours of labor on it..which isn't bad. I know everyone likes to bash on maaco but the one in town does pretty decent work. Had my car painted there a year ago (cheep paint job) and paint still looks decent.
$603 for dent removal and to paint my new jdm front end.
$273 for just the paint.
I also read that I can get a stud welder and do it that way?

any opinions?
